Whole and Undefiled: We Must Maintain the Integrity of the Catholic Faith
by Rev. Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI
Regular readers of our magazine are aware of the fact that we have frequently pointed out the errors of the so-called “Recognize and Resist” theological position — often simply referred to as R&R....

Did Christ Truly Rise from the Dead? : How Francis Cleverly Denies the Historicity of the Resurrection
from NovusOrdoWatch.com
The reason why Modernists have been so successful in their destruction of the Faith in souls is that their errors are typically camouflaged. The outrageous ideas they proclaim they often contradict or relativize in other places; or they use sufficient ambiguity in their words so that although most people will take heresy from their less-than-clear words (especially if the words are accompanied by heretical actions), Francis apologists will detect enough “plausible deniability” in them should the need arise to defend their master from the accusation of poisoning souls.....

Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Home
by Rev. Fr. Brendan Hughes, CMRI
Fr. Larkin tells us that St. Francis of Assisi’s plan in reforming society was quite simple: “Sanctify yourself and you will sanctify society.” Fr. Mateo in the early 1900’s faced the difficulty that society had lost grasp of Christian principles. Therefore, he turned to the home. He realized that society must be reformed by first bringing the home into harmony with Catholic living. His motto was: “Sanctify the family and you sanctify society.”...

Respice Stellam: Voca Mariam
The Greatest Marian Book Ever Written
From the Servite magazine, The Age of Mary, August-September 1955
In American universities today it is fashionable to offer courses entitled “Great Books.” Some of the books chosen for study in these courses, however, are far from great, whereas many of the greatest books of all time are ignored. The greatest books of all time must obviously be books which concern God or man’s relationship with God....

American Heroes of the Faith: Birth Pangs of Catholicism at the Founding of the United States
by Rev. Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI
In our last article we learned of early Catholic settlement in Maryland and the struggles of Catholics both there and in other colonies to practice their faith despite persecution. In fact, only in Maryland and Pennsylvania were Catholics allowed to build churches and openly practice their faith. We will now take a brief look at the state of Catholicism in the 13 British colonies of America at the time of the Revolutionary War....

In Season — Out of Season: Good St. Joseph
by Rev. Fr. Casimir Puskorius, CMRI
Venerable religious and dear parishioners, you may not realize this, but in other countries of the world, today, the feast of St. Joseph, is holyday of obligation. There are ten universal holydays of obligation, today being an example, and Corpus Christi another. As a matter of fact, there used to be, believe it or not, 32 holydays of obligations — 35 if we count the last three days of Lent: Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday...

Servus Mariae: When Prayer Seems Futile
by Rev. Fr. Dominic Radecki, CMRI
A common complaint voiced by many concerning prayer is that of feeling that one is getting nowhere. Most of our perplexities about prayer could be resolved if we only realize that we pray not because we love prayer but because we love God. We do not pray in order to master distractions or because we have resolved to continue with it. We pray simply in order to please God...
