Aids to Perseverance
by Rev. Fr. Dominic Radecki, CMRI
Faced with so many strong, cunning, spiritual enemies and finding it so difficult to consistently do the right thing, some Catholics, especially our youth, become discouraged and are strongly tempted to just give up. Nevertheless, we must do whatever we can to prevent ourselves and our loved ones from going to hell. We’re on the winning side with God, and He will provide us with the graces necessary for salvation, but we must pray and correspond with these graces....

Development of Doctrine vs. Evolution of Dogma: The Modernist Distortion of Catholic Teaching
by Rev. Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI
Those who have been monitoring the news from the Conciliar Church are aware of the fact that Francis recently sponsored a synod in the Vatican concerning the Amazon region of South America. A cause for alarm for conservatives was the conversation at the synod that the obligation of priestly celibacy might be lifted — at least for the Amazon region — and that deaconesses could be ordained, to fill the void from lack of vocations. Many recognize these potential changes as just the beginning of similar changes throughout the Novus Ordo Church....

The “But We’ve Had Bad Popes Before” Objection
Is Francis a “Bad Father But Still Your Father”?
Reprinted from NovusOrdoWatch.com with permission
With the recent idolatrous, heretical, and blasphemous circus surrounding the Amazon Synod, Novus Ordo and semi-traditionalist authorities and apologists are once again offering false solutions to their hapless followers, solutions aimed at mostly one thing: the continued acceptance of Jorge Bergoglio (“Pope Francis”) as the Pope of the Catholic Church, no matter how absurd and indefensible the idea may be — for the only truly intolerable view for them is that of Sedevacantism....

Respice Stellam: Voca Mariam
The Miraculous Medal and the Conversion of Alphonse Ratisbonne
by Rev. Fr. Brendan Hughes, CMRI
In 1841 there lived in Strasburg, France, a wealthy Jewish family which had long held the first rank in Alsace, and despite its religion, was ennobled under Louis XVI. Alphonse Ratisbonne, in whose person was wrought the miracle related here, was a member of this family; at the time he was about twenty-eight years of age....

American Heroes of the Faith: The Ursulines of New Orleans
by Rev. Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI
We have seen how the Catholic Church, from humble beginnings, began to spread rapidly in the young country after the Revolutionary War. Like the mustard seed in the Gospel, it would grow into a great tree. Not only did many Catholics migrate from Europe, but the acquisition of new territory also brought an increase in the number of the faithful. Primary among these acquisitions was that of Louisiana, the largest ever acquisition of land by the United States....

In Season — Out of Season: Our Hearts Are Restless Until They Find Their Rest in God...
by Rev. Fr. Casimir Puskorius, CMRI
My dear parishioners, we are told in today’s Epistle to rejoice, and not only to rejoice, but to rejoice always. And that is what we do on this rose-colored Sunday Gaudete Sunday, just as we do on that one Sunday in Lent when we also wear rose-colored vestments. But there is another part of the sentence upon which I would like to focus, and that is where St. Paul says, “Rejoice in the Lord.” ...

Servus Mariae: Managing Your Anger
by Rev. Fr. Dominic Radecki, CMRI
Letting hurt feelings drag into long-term frustration can be fatal. Anger that isn’t dealt with is like sulfuric acid — it is corrosive and destructive. What we need when we’re hurting is softness, understanding, tenderness and the act of others asking for forgiveness. Hurt which you have caused must be made up for by being kind, thoughtful, considerate, helpful, and even by providing quality time....
