Issue No. 160 features the following articles:

° Letter from the Editor

° Sedevacantism: Have the Gates of Hell Prevailed?

Addressing Objections to the Sedevacantist Position
Condensed and reprinted with permission from NovusOrdoWatch.org
Our Lord promised that the “Gates of Hell” will not prevail against the rock on which the Church was founded. Using several lectures of the late Cardinal Henry Edward Manning as reference to his argument, the author explains that the rock is the papacy, and that it was prophecied that like Christ in His passion was delivered over to the powers of darkness, so likewise, the papacy must go through a period of darkness before the Church’s final triumph. Another excellent article in defense of the sedevacantist position.

° The New Religion of Man
by Rev. Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI
The new “Pope videos” are an abuse of the Apostleship of Prayer, with its monthly prayer intentions based on the naturalism spawned by Vatican II.

° Monsignor Moisés Carmona Rivera, Pillar of Traditionalism in Mexico
Part VII: His Consecration and Ministry as a Bishop
by Rev. Fr. Daniel A. Perez Gomez
For the good of the Church and the salvation of souls, Fr. Carmona accepted episcopal consecration, and with it the heavy burden of responsibilities that accompany it. He ably defended his decision against the libel and slander of the modernist hierarchy

° Respice Stellam
 Satan’s Poem to Mary Immaculate
From Queen of the Missions Magazine, 1955
Before the dogma of the Immaculate Conception was defined, two Italian priests performed an exorcism in which they forced the demon possessing the person to compose a beautiful poem in honor of Our Lady’s special privilege.

° In Season—Out of Season
The Sufferings and the Glory of Christ
A Sermon Preached by Rev. Fr. Bernard Uttley, OSB
Although Our Lord’ Humanity is worthy of divine honor, since it is united to a divine Person, the Church allows public veneration and official liturgical worship for only two parts of His humanity: His Sacred Heart and His Precious Blood. The reason would seem to be that these two parts are most closely connected with our Savior. His Heart is the symbol of the love which urged our Blessed Lord to deliver Himself to death for us, and the shedding of His blood was the actual means by which expiation the sins of the world was made....

° Adoremus in Aeternum
The Sacred Liturgy, Part XI: Church Music
By Rev. Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI
Catholics should be familiar with the purpose and characteristics of liturgical music, especially that most highly praised by the Popes, Gregorian chant.

° Catholic Heroes of America
 St. Frances Xavier Cabrini
by Rev. Fr. Francisco Radecki, CMRI
The only naturalized American citizen to have been canonized, this Italian born missionary travelled extensively establishing schools, hospitals and orphanages in her efforts to re-establish the kingdom of Christ upon earth.

° Servus Mariae
The Danger of Tepidity in the Spiritual Life
by Rev. Fr. Dominic Radecki, CMRI
Lukewarmness is a state of soul that is most repulsive to Our Lord, and one of the most dangerous in the spiritual life, for one in this state is, as it were, spiritual asleep or numb, and not aware of his slow descent into a life of sin.
