Rejecting the Impostor Church
A Letter to the Clergy of the Diocese of Rockford
by Michael Oswalt
After a 6-year seminary course at Mundelein, a Conciliar seminary in Chicago, Michael Oswalt was ordained with the new rite of ordination. Although he adhered to traditional Catholic thinking in the seminary, his eyes were really opened to the effects of Modernism on the parish level, when he received his first assignment. By the grace of God, obtained especially through his daily Rosary and total consecration to Jesus through Mary, Michael became convinced that the new Conciliar Church is not truly the Catholic Church. The final ray of light came when his superior one day asked him: “Do you want to be a member of the pre-Vatican II Church or the post-Vatican II Church?” Michael knew he could no longer remain in the Conciliar Church. The following is the letter he sent to all priests in the diocese, in March, 2009, regarding the reasons he abandoned the Novus Ordo. He is now studying to be properly ordained to the priesthood with the traditional rites of the Church.

Is There Still Hope For the Future?
by Rev. Fr. Eugen Rissling
Unless we are completely blind, we see the grave situation faced today by those who remain loyal to the revealed Faith, to the true Catholic Church. Following the modernist “reforms” and “innovations” of the Conciliar Church since 1958, many of the Catholic principles and theological and moral teachings that have been handed down through the ages were questioned and denied. In the official sphere today, on the practical, parochial level, this means that what is called “Catholic” now is not the Catholic-apostolic faith at all, but is rather something made up of things that were formerly opposed to and even solemnly condemned by the Catholic Church as false teaching...

It Bears Repeating
by Rev. Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI
Two years ago, in the spring issue of The Reign of Mary, I wrote an editorial (“An Apology, not an Avowal”) regarding the terrible sexual abuse of minors by clergy in the Conciliar Church — a horrific and widespread crime that has come to light during the past decade. Given the recent news of more such scandals that have occurred in various European and South American countries, as well as in the United States, the facts brought out in that article bear repeating...

Hernando Cortes, Conquistador for Christ
Part V: The Totonac Alliance

by Rev. Fr. Brendan Hughes, CMRI
The Spaniards were left without provisions due to the sudden withdrawal of Teuhtlili and the local Indians. The former had acted on Montezuma’s order to discontinue trade, while the others were motivated by practical reasons, for the pious demeanor of Cortes betrayed that he was no god as was first supposed...

Finding the Right Spouse
by Rev. Fr. Francisco Radecki, CMRI
It is extremely important for those considering marriage to ascertain if the potential spouse is firm in his or her faith, has a strong commitment to family and possesses enough respect for others and self-confidence to persevere in a lifelong relationship. If these components are lacking during courtship, they will not miraculously appear once marriage begins....

Necessity of the Blessed Virgin and of Devotion to Her
by Rev. Fr. Brendan Hughes, CMRI
This devotion is a perfect imitation of the example of Christ, Who, as an Infant, chose to become totally dependent upon her maternal solicitude. In imitation of Christ we surrender ourselves to her care, becoming totally dependent upon her spiritual maternal solicitude, just as Christ was dependent upon her physical maternal care....

Martyrs of Purity Set the Standard
A Sermon Preached by Rev. Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI
My dearly beloved, we celebrate this week the feast of a great saint and a model for all of us, but especially a model for youth. And in fact it was 107 years ago today that St. Maria Goretti was stabbed 14 times for refusing to cooperate in a sin of impurity. For her steadfast refusal her assailant repeatedly stabbed her and she died the next day on July 6, 1902. She was not yet 12 years old....

Peace of Soul through Faith in Christ
by Rev. Fr. Dominic Radecki, CMRI
Even in the turbulent times in which we live, we can still achieve peace of soul if we look for it in the right place. Peace of soul can only come as a result of divine help. Peace is the gift that Jesus Christ brought us from heaven; it is a gift from God Himself. Our Lord’s peace is exclusively His own and cannot be duplicated or found anywhere else. It was on Holy Thursday night that Jesus said to His apostles, “My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.”...

The Prayers of the Canon of the Mass
by Rev. Fr. Dominic Radecki, CMRI
As the last acclamation of the Sanctus echoes throughout the church and the overtones of the bells fade out, we now enter upon the Canon, which is the very heart of the Mass. This solemn and sacred section, which dates back to the time of Christ, begins with the Te Igitur. In every altar missal a picture of the crucifixion, with the cross representing the letter “T” in the word Te Igitur, is placed at the beginning of the Canon in order to vividly remind us of the sacrifice that is about to take place in fulfillment of Christ’s command, “Do this in remembrance of Me.” The Catholic Church thus offers one and the same sacrifice but in an unbloody manner.”...

Respice Stellam:
The Act of Entire Consecration to Mary

by Rev. Fr. Brendan Hughes, CMRI
In reflecting on the total consecration to Our Lady which St. Louis Marie de Montfort calls True Devotion, let us understand that this is not simply one among many forms of devotion to Mary — simply the spirituality peculiar to St. Louis Marie de Montfort. In making this clear, I intend to make a summary of the devotion not from St. Louis Marie de Montfort’s book, True Devotion....
